Training and Opportunities

The Tempest Engineering founders are active members of their respective Chartership Institutions. Harris is chairperson for the Institution of Structural Engineers Aberdeen Branch and organises annual graduate chartership training courses. Alex is one of the guest lecturers who coaches subsea structural design.

We believe in supporting the next generation of engineers and continuing to build on the good work done by those who came before us. We endeavor to actively train young engineers, on project work if possible, to ensure vital design skills are passed on to the next generation.  The emerging wind and renewable energy sectors also share many skills found in traditional oil and gas-type projects, so there is a wealth of knowledge which can be used in these applications too.
